Thanks to everyone who came out to last month’s Engine Room. I thought we had a great turnout and great energy! This month we’re excited to bring back GIANT CITY SEXTET to Engine Room! GC6 is one of the premiere trad jazz bands in town featuring Jon Doyle (clarinet), Oliver Steck (trumpet), JD Pendley (guitar), Ryan Gould (bass), Joe Cordi (keys), and Paul Schlichting (drums). Having played for many dance events, I thought it would be natural to bring them to Engine Room a week before the International Lindy Hop Championships in DC. No worries if you aren’t a dancer. These guys can really bring the house down. It’s going to be a great night, and I hope to see you there!
Welcoming jazz enthusiasts from all over to enjoy some of the best live classic jazz acts in town at the ENGINE ROOM. Come out and swing out, or just sit back and tap your feet to the music. It’s a great time to be had by all! Since we figured you didn’t want to read all about it, we made a video to explain it all. Video Courtesy of Reed Penney/One Cent Productions LLC
